Honor to whom honor is due! Niní Cáffaro, Leonel Lirio and Janina Rosado recognized
The Chamber of Deputies awarded three great figures of Dominican art and culture this Wednesday.

My cultural gossip people, we bring good news! The Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic showed up big time this Wednesday by paying a top-notch tribute to three living legends of our land: the beloved singer Erasmo (Niní) Cáffaro, the talented designer Leonel Lirio and the outstanding Janina Rosado.
The grand event took place in style at the National Assembly Hall, where the honorees received their well-deserved scrolls. All of this was possible thanks to several resolutions presented by different congresswomen and which later received the green light from the legislative body.
Just so you see that talent is respected, the proposal to applaud Niní Cáffaro's artistic career came from former deputy Lucía Medina. Meanwhile, deputy Selinée Méndez was in charge of putting the recognition for fashion master Leonel Lirio on the table, highlighting his tremendous contribution to our cultural and educational identity.
These distinctions reaffirm the value of our people and their indelible mark on national art. From our newsroom we send a giant hug and our most sincere congratulations to all three!
