Is the lawsuit against Julio Iglesias moving forward in Spain?
The Spanish Prosecutor's Office points out that the country's courts can indeed investigate the complaint against the singer for events in the DR and the Bahamas.

Renowned singer Julio Iglesias is back in the spotlight following a major legal twist in Spain. The Prosecutor's Office recently determined that the country's courts, specifically the National Court (Audiencia Nacional), do indeed have the necessary jurisdiction to investigate the lawsuit filed by two former employees.
The complainants accuse the artist of harassment and alleged sexual assault, purportedly occurring in 2021 during his stay in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas. Meanwhile, the singer's legal defense has categorically denied the facts since the beginning of the process and requested the dismissal of the case.
This statement by the Public Ministry represents a notable shift from its previous stance, since last January the initial complaint was dismissed precisely due to an alleged lack of jurisdiction on Spanish territory. Now, judge Antonio Piña will be the one to decide the future of the investigation.
