Although he worked with big stars like Elba Escobar and Mimí Lazo, the homegrown star spilled the tea about a bitter experience he lived with the respected actress Caridad Canelón during the recordings of RCTV's hit soap opera, 'La Guajirita', released in 1982.
According to the leading man, the tension began when his colleague Orlando Urdaneta had to leave the project due to a business trip to the Dominican Republic. This caused great displeasure in Caridad, who apparently did not give her all and didn't feel comfortable sharing scenes with him.
Despite the bad time and the fact that he avoided working with her afterwards, Virgüez made it clear that he holds enormous admiration and respect for her for being a woman of great character, strength, and unforgettable charisma on screens.
