Luz Brito shines at Fiesta Sunset Jazz on her way to Berklee
The talented Dominican pianist Luz Brito will offer a fundraising concert to fulfill her big dream of studying at Berklee.

My good rhythm people, save the dateeee! The outstanding Dominican pianist Luz Marie Brito Fortuna is coming in full swing this Friday, October 16th, at 8:00 at night, to present her concert titled "Jazz Emotions" at the well-known Fiesta Sunset Jazz at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino, located on Anacaona Avenue in Santo Domingo. This show is part of the "Luz Brito rumbo a Berklee" campaign, an initiative to gather the necessary pennies that will allow her to fly to the United States and start her higher music studies.
For this big night, the 19-year-old young artist won't be all alone on stage, as she will be accompanied by her father and renowned musician Antonio Brito on guitar, along with David Amparo on bass and Woodly Sinouelien on drums, all together forming the tremendous Luz Brito Quartet. The repertoire is loaded with musical gems and impressive compositions of all times, highlighting legendary tracks like "Emily", "Triste", "Autumn Leaves" and "Fly Me to the Moon", where improvisation and romantic, joyful rhythms will make attendees vibrate.
Let's remember that this talented island girl was admitted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston after securing a partial scholarship in the Berklee in Santo Domingo 2026 program, with the goal of starting classes in May 2027. Since the budget still needs to be completed, the family is on the move with musical performances and looking for sponsorships. Those who want to attend to enjoy good music without paying a cover charge can now reserve their spot by calling 829-586-9177, thus supporting Dominican talent that crosses borders.
