Roger Velásquez's new stuff! He mixes Latin rhythms and afrobeat in his album 🔥
Musician Roger Velásquez releases his album 'Versos del Alma', fusing traditional sounds with West Africa and the Caribbean.

My Bochinche Latino people, get your ears ready because the talented singer and guitarist Roger Velásquez brings us musical surprises. Straight from San Antonio, Texas, the artist presents his latest musical production titled 'Versos del Alma' under the independent label VDiscos.
This new musical work includes a total of eleven tracks where the artist steps out of the well-known Tex-Mex terrain to explore an explosive mix of traditional Latin rhythms with West African sounds, the Caribbean, and even nods to classic cinema.
This album is loaded with luxury collaborations. Afrobeat exponent Baba Kuboye participates in two tracks, while violinist Lili Haydn adds flavor with tango and bachata vibes. Plus, Isabel Marie accompanies the singer in a modernized mariachi duet, and the iconic 'Guantanamera' pays tribute to Afro-Caribbean roots alongside percussionist Georgie Padilla.
With a solid career that includes a Latin GRAMMY in 2018 for his album 'Tex Mex Funk', Velásquez proves once again his artistic versatility. This new proposal promises to get the whole diaspora dancing with a very fresh and multicultural proposal. 💃🕺
